Gunyuz (Eunice) Australia has turned her ‘retirement hobby’ into a popular business at Eumundi Markets on the Terraces on Wednesdays, where she has been a trader for several years. Eunice, being an immigrant from Turkey in 1968, used her scientific experience in a career at the Department of Primary Industries as the foundation leading her to pursue a personal interest in natural skin care. A holder of a Diploma in Chemistry from the Queensland University of Technology and a Diploma in Remedial Aromatherapy from the Australian Institute of Science, and also recently graduating in Aromatic Medicine with the Aminya Natural Therapies Academy (accredited training throughout Australia and Asia).
Since 2005 Eunice has been developing her skin care range using only Natural Australian Indigenous Essential Oils, to include body and facial scrubs, cleansers, pain relief balms, body oils and soaps. A lifelong learner, Eunice regularly updates her knowledge, each year attending practical workshops such as courses in cosmetic chemistry and dermatology that include subject areas such as clinical aromatherapy and massage, which she says is her next challenge. Eunice always enjoys the markets, especially the interaction with people and being able to help them with skin care.
